Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson 'stay strong' through text, Skype: 'Twilight' hottie, Jennifer Lawrence jealous over Nicholas Hoult 'lovers' role in new movie 'Equals?'

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are both busy with their separate careers right now, but that doesn't mean they're not trying to work things out with their on-and-off again relationship!

An alleged HollywoodLife insider reveals, "Kristen and Rob have been keeping in touch by Skyping... They make sure to Skype at least once a week and text in between, and send each other funny photos. Being away from each other has actually made them closer."

If the rumors are indeed true, it's great that Robsten can stay strong despite the long distance "relationship." Maybe it IS meant to be in the end!

The source close to K-Stew continues, "Kristen has no solid plans to see Rob. She still wants to see him before he leaves for Morocco to film Queen of the Desert, but that's unlikely. She's come to terms with it and she's being patient. She knows when they finally do see each other it will be some much-needed quality time."

But while R-Patz is off filming his new movie, Stewart will be busy at work researching her own new role. The 23-year-old "SWATH" beauty will star alongside Jennifer Lawrence's boyfriend Nicholas Hoult in the upcoming romance film, "Equals!" Stewart recently admitted to The Associated Press:

"I can't believe I agreed to do it... 'm terrified of it. Though it's a movie with a really basic concept, it's overtly ambitious. It's a love story of epic, epic, epic proportion. I'm scared. I told [director Drake Doremus], 'Don't expect that I am going to be able to do this. It's too hard.' But he wouldn't take 'no' for an answer... I've given directors disclaimers before, but never this much."

"Equals" is a romantic adaptation of George Orwell‘s classic dystopian novel, "1984" - it will begin filming later in 2014.

Initially, J-Law was fuming that Stewart might "steal" her leading man, but it looks like such jealousy's in the past.
