Most people know Eve (real name Eve Jeffers) for her career as a Grammy-winning rapper and performer, with some small roles and cameos in film and television sprinkled throughout her fame. But acting is taking center stage in her life this year now that she is developing a semi-autobiographical television series with ABC, focusing mainly on interracial relationships. The rapper is currently engaged to British fashion designer and entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper, who is white.

According to The Hollywood Reporter the rapper would star in the comedy series and also serve as a non-writing executive producer on the upcoming project. Though there are no writers attached to this new project right at the moment, it is scheduled for a 2014-15-development season so expect that news to change in the upcoming months.

Eve previously starred in her own series on UPN, where she portrayed a fashion designer. The show was simply entitled Eve. She also appeared on Fox's hit musical series Glee. She was also in a number of movies such as xXx, The Cookout and The Woodsman.

The rapper and her fiancé became engaged just before the New Year after dating since 2011. Cooper has children from a previous relationship, which Eve has been pretty vocal about in terms of having them in her life as well. This is sure to be a subject of her new show.

Check out Eve's Twitter post announcing her excitement about the engagement:
