One Direction dissed by William H Macy [WATCH]: 'Shameless' actor slams 1D concert, 'talented, couldn’t put on good show with gun to their head' [VIDEO]

"Shameless" star William H Macy has a 13-year-old daughter named Sophia who's a huge fan of the popular boy band One Direction. Being a good dad, Macy recently took his young teen to a 1D concert. Personally, he was less than impressed with the performance.

The 63-year-old actor/screenwriter appeared on Thursday morning's episode of "Live! With Michael and Kelly." And here's what he had to say about Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Niall Horan:

"I've been in showbiz all my life, so, let me just say, those guys can sing. They are very talented."

But here comes the zinger - "They couldn't put on a good show with a gun to their head."

Ouch.

Macy did acknowledge that Sophia loved the show, along with "about 17,000 other kids" there. But that didn't stop him from continuing to bash the band. Sophia even has a life-sized cut-out of Harry Styles, and it totally "scares the sh*t" out of her dad every time he passes it.

He also mocks 1D's dancing choreography, "crappy" wardrobe, and calls-out Styles for eating a sandwich onstage:

"I mean call me old-fashioned, but when I'm downstage singing my heart out, you better not eat a sandwich behind me," Macy excalims.
