Jay Z and Beyonce are probably at the pinnacle of their musical careers but Hov is also making some power moves in his other endeavors. Roc Nation Sports recently signed CC Sabathia of the New York Yankees.
According to Forbes, Sabathia took to social media to announce his addition to "La Familia." He posted a photo of him signing paperwork with Jay Z.
Forbes also reports that the 33-year-old ball player's contract with the Yankees ends in 2016 but boss man Jay Z may work to get him one last contract.
Since signing with Roc Nation Sports, Sabathia joins the likes of former Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano, Geno Smith, Skylar Diggins, Kevin Durant and Victor Cruz.
Robinson Cano joined the Roc Nation Sports team back in April signing a 10-year, $240 million deal. It has been the biggest deal of the MLB offseason.
Roc Nation Sports president Juan Perez had this to say of Sabathia: "CC exemplifies everything Roc Nation looks for in an athlete and a partner."
Sabathia has an endorsement deal with the Jordan brand, and in the past couple of years has done commercials for both Pepsi and Subway. Sounds like a winner.
Roc Nation Sports has yet to sign a player in this year's NFL draft class. We wonder if that's on their agenda next.
What do you think of CC Sabathia signing to Roc Nation Sports? Was it a good move? Tell us your thoughts in the comment section below.
