More awards continued this weekend, the SAG awards, and the 29th annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards held at the Municipal Auditorium Saturday, January 18, 2014 in country music's city of Nashville, Tenn.
The Stellar Awards highlight some of the most talented artist in Gospel music. The city of Nashville has hosted the show since 2006, the usual location of the show was the Grand Ole Opry, but this year a slight move was made to the Municipal.
It was a huge night for the multi-talented gospel singer and film/TV star Tamela Mann, who was named artist of the year. Mann also was Saturday night's top winner with seven awards, including female vocalist and CD of the year. Mann, 47, who is featured in multiple Tyler Perry films and TV series, has been singing since she was a little girl, and released her solo debut in 2005.
Saturday nignt's host was Sherri Shepherd and Rickey Smiley, broadcast of the show is featured on the Up Network.
