Kristen Stewart stars as Nicholas Hoult's love interest in "Equals" - the upcoming romantic film adaptation of George Orwell‘s classic novel 1984. And according to movie director Drake Doremus, K-Stew and Hoult make the perfect onscreen match!
"It became evident in my head that Nick and Kristen would have great chemistry," Doremus recently told the AP.
Stewart agrees - although she finds the role extremely dawnting.
The 23-year-old "Twilight" beauty explains to The Associated Press: "I can't believe I agreed to do it... I'm terrified of it. Though it's a movie with a really basic concept, it's overtly ambitious. It's a love story of epic, epic, epic proportion. I'm scared. I told [director Drake Doremus], 'Don't expect that I am going to be able to do this. It's too hard.' But he wouldn't take 'no' for an answer... I've given directors disclaimers before, but never this much."
But she has a lot of respect for Doremus, and trusts his intuitions:
"I'm so excited," she told E! at the Sundance Film Festival. "I mean, Drake Doremus is one of my favorite directors right now. I would do anything with him. This is the first movie that he's working off a script, usually he works off an outline. And I love that style. I love being able to find something naturally and have it live and really breath. So I can't wait to be thrown into his world."
As for Hoult? He read the skript with girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence, and they "loved it" -
"It's epic in proportion, but centered on these specific relationships," Hoult told reports at the Sundance Film Festival.
Sounds like the co-stars might have a lot of onscreen chemistry! Should on-and-off again boyfriend Robert Pattinson worry? J-Law seems to be okay with it!
