The Royal Rumble pay-per-view airs Sunday night, and WWE has confirmed five matches thus far with a possible sixth to be included. Oddly, one Royal Rumble participant has also been removed from the match, according to WWE.com.
First, here is the official updated card for the pay-per-view:
Randy Orton (c) vs. John Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Daniel Bryan vs. Bray Wyatt
Big Show vs. Brock Lesnar
Cody Rhodes and Goldust (c) vs. The New Age Outlaws for the WWE Tag Team Championships (Kickoff Show)
30-Man Royal Rumble Match:
- CM Punk (No. 1)
- Batista
- Rey Mysterio
- Roman Reigns
- Seth Rollins
- Dean Ambrose
- Big E. Langston
- Bad News Barrett
- Fandango
- Goldust
- Cody Rhodes
- The Miz
- Kofi Kingston
- Xavier Woods
- R-Truth
- Alberto Del Rio
- Luke Harper
- Erick Rowan
- Jimmy Uso
- Jey Uso
- Damien Sandow
Interestingly, WWE.com has removed Bad News Barrett from the list without an accompanying explanation. The company also did not address the removal on Monday Night Raw, and it is possible that he could enter the match anyway.
Furthermore, F4WOnline.com reports that WWE could add AJ Lee (c) vs. Naomi for the WWE Divas Championship, but that would depend on how the company organizes the pay-per-view on Sunday.
Hulk Hogan Creative Plans Finalized
F4WOnline.com also reports that WWE has finalized all creative plans for Hulk Hogan's return to the company. As of this writing, it is unknown how or when WWE intends to bring Hogan back on television.
