Most of us know Glenn Beck as a staunch Tea Party conservative that voices all of his opinions on heated political and social issues on his daily talk radio show. Though you might not have known that he recently gave a very nice pro-gay speech on his show when talking about the hard-line approach taken by Russia in regards to homosexuals.
After listening to a recording of President Putin addressing some questions about his country's treatment of the gay community and how that will affect the Sochi Olympics, Beck decided to address his listeners with a bold statement.
"Anybody within the sound of my voice that hates a gay person because they're gay, you have no place calling yourself a fan of mine," he said. "You have no place in this country...You are not a fan of mine, you have no friendship here, if you hate people because they're gay...You have no place claiming that you're a fan of this show.... If that's who you are, I don't want to have anything to do with you."
The political radio host also went on to say that these people preach hate just like anti-Semites, ant-Muslims, and other hate groups out there.
This might sound strange to most people coming from a conservative, but Beck, while making a compelling statement, has also put an end to at least one negative way people view him.
