Lorde strips down 'Royals' for Grammy performance

Lorde performed her smash hit Song Of The Year nominee "Royals" at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

The New Zealand wunderkind performed a stripped-down and spacey version of her Pure Heroine track, letting the reverberations of her voice die out several times before carrying on with the track (and turning the indie-lite pop tune into something that would get a "Best New Music" nom on P4K).

Unfortunately, no one told Lorde that anything that carries the image of an angel becomes an angel.
