Back in August, Chris Brown announced that he would be retiring from music but it seems as though he's had a change of heart. Breezy took to Twitter to announce that he would be releasing two albums this upcoming summer.
Earlier this week (Sunday, Jan. 26), Breezy sent out a tweet saying:
"X album, Fan of a Fan ( the album) this SUMMER!!!!"
This comes as good news seeing that fans have been waiting for X to be released since this fall. Brown said the album would be released in November.
According to Entertainment Wise, Breezy had this to say of his upcoming album:
"This album has a lot of substance, from the subject matter and the situations to how it deals with love. It's really derived from personal experiences. Then again, I always like mixing reality with art."
He also said that fans should expect a different sound this time around.
"I tried to stay away from the Euro beats, and not go totally pop. Instead, I wanted to take the Quincy Jones approach. The record pays homage to the Stevie Wonders, the Michael Jacksons, the Sam Cookes: I wanted to put that classic essence of R&B and soul with the new age of music now," Brown explained.
But aside from his highly-anticipated solo project, Chris Brown is also working on the Fan of a Fan album, which will be a follow-up to his and Tyga's 2010 Fan of a Fan mixtape.
The mixtape boasted the tracks "Deuces" and "No Bulls**t." This should be a great project too.
We're glad Breezy has something to work on and keep him preoccupied upon his release from rehab. Chris Brown is currently serving a three-month stint for anger management.
