Super Bowl fan wins $25K over big bet for the second time, donates winnings to charity

While some still may be graveling over rumors of Floyd Mayweather making a $10 million bet on last night's Super Bowl game, one luck man just hit rich for the second time.

According to TMZ, Jona Rechnitz, a successful real estate mogul in New York City, put up $500 betting that the first scoring play in Super Bowl XLVIII would be a Seattle safety. Turns out Rechnitz knows his football. $500 turned into $25, 000 in a matter of seconds.

As if that isn't impressive enough, Rechnitz made the same type of bet two years ago during the 2012 Super Bowl. After the Giants scored a safety Jona walked away with 50K large and guess what he did with it? He donated it all to charity.

Jona plans to do the same thing with this year's winnings. Rechnitz told TMZ he plans to donate to the Simon Wiesenthal Center and to the Stewart J. Rahr Foundation.

Rechnitz says he chose the Wisenthal because it promotes tolerance and Rahr because its reach goes way beyond athletes and celebs, saying "[he] changes the lives of millions of people everyday."

We definitely commend Rechnitz for his charitable act of kindness.
