Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" can keep its spot in the winner's circle for one more week. After the unexpected third single from the pop superstar's Prism quickly rose through the charts, it seemed as though a ninth No. 1 was inevitable for Perry, and now the track has held on strong for two weeks.
According to Billboard, the trap-infused "Dark Horse" (which received a lyric video earlier this week) came in at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a second week, after a witchy, fiery performance at the Grammys last Sunday (Jan. 26), Perry and Juicy J got a bump in sales (373,000), streams and radio play.
Another big boost courtesy of the Grammys comes to Beyoncé and Jay Z's "Drunk In Love," which rocketed up the charts to No. 2 (previously, it say at No. 13) thanks to a super saucy Grammys performance that included writing around on a chair and plenty of booty. "Drunk In Love" leads Streaming Songs this week, rose mildly on the radio and launched up for on-demand listening.
"Timber" continues to lumber down the charts. The former four-week topper slipped to No. 3 this week, thanks to Beyoncé, though the track is still holding strong on radio.
The power of the viral video showed its glory once again this week with Jason Derulo's "Talk Dirty," which rose another two spots to No. 4. The song's meteoric rise comes courtesy of "Celebrities Talkin' Dirty," a clip that features the likes of Ariana Grande, One Direction and Little Mix lip-synching the song.
OneRepublic, who previously peaked at No. 2 with "Counting Stars" are continuing to fall down the charts, with the song now settling at No. 5.
Other songs on the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 this week include Passenger's "Let Her Go" at No. 6 and A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera's "Say Something" at No. 7. By now, this chill songs are familiar fare in the top 10, and have gotten solid chart placement thanks to on-demand streaming.
Besides Beyoncé's "Drunk In Love," Pharrell Williams rose three spots this week with "Happy," which now sits comfortably in the top 10 at No. 8. The song gained massive traction on radio, vaulting from No. 41 to No. 15 on the Radio Songs chart. Pharrell can likely thank the Grammys for his chart boost, as his performance of "Get Lucky" with Daft Punk raised his profile tenfold (as if he wasn't already one of the biggest names in the industry).
Lorde, ever the kind teen, rounds out the top 10 with "Royals" at No. 9 and "Team" at No. 10.
