'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star Phaedra Parks ongoing court battle with a friend she claims made false statements about her involvement with Apollo Nida's fraud scheme

The Real Housewives of Atlanta keeps on getting juicer. Phaedra Parks husband, Apollo Nida was recently arrested for fraud and identity theft on Jan. 24, and now fans want to know how much Parks, who is a lawyer herself was really involved.

RadarOnline is revealing that new information has surfaced shedding some light on the situation. The site is showing court documents that Parks has been trying for years to hide a woman who has been making crazy claims about Parks involvement.

The mother of 2, sued Vibe magazine for publishing the allegations from a woman named, Angela Stanton, in May 2012.
The case that later got dismissed, was brought back to court four months later. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star filed a lawsuit against Stanton herself and it is still ongoing in Georgia. Parks is asking for millions for statements she claims Stanton made.

Parks is suing Stanton saying that her statements are false and defamatory. A judge is still reviewing the case, leaving the pending situation to a perfect drama storm.

Stanton originally published a book, Lies of a Real Housewife, which made Parks take her and the reproduced story to court.
Parks argues that she first met Stanton around 2001, and the close friendship took a turn for the worse resulting in an evil business alliance.

The court documents reveal that Stanton previously claimed Parks and her husband, "were remaking fraudulent insurance checks ... we were all involved in the federal racketeering scheme against the federal government."

"We would basically go to the car lot and write down the VIN numbers of the vehicle that we felt as if we wanted to keep or would make a good sale," Stanton said. "Once we recorded the numbers down off of the VIN, we would take them back to Phaedra and [another associate], and once they had it they would make a false identification card and a registration card to match the vehicle."

"With the state issued ID, and proof of ownership, I would be able to visit any luxury car dealership, provide them with the necessary documents, as well as a fee ... then just like that they would cut a computerized key to the vehicle. The Cars were then sent to a chop shop. The VIN numbers were filed down and replaced with new ones. Once replaced, I was provided with fraudulent certificates of vehicle titles ..."

"Phaedra's schemes were clever and elaborate," Stanton also claimed that, "She never ceased to astound each and every time she approached me with an assignment. ... I often found myself excited about learning her tricks of the trade. Phaedra was this crooked attorney who knew how to commute crimes against the federal government."

Stanton was later arrested for the outrageous scheme, but she wasn't alone. Nida and another business associate were also arrested. Stanton also claimed that Parks promised to represent her in court, that offer never surfaced.

"The day of my arraignment finally comes," Stanton says, "She doesn't show up. When the judge puts in a call for Phaedra, she tells the judge she won't be representing me due to a conflict of interest."

"Maybe she got scared, maybe she thought I would tell. Maybe, you know, she felt that it was just getting too hot. I couldn't understand why she had just totally and completely abandoned me."

Stanton, Nida and another business associate went to jail for several years over that scam but Parks was apparently never suspected or charged and continues to live freely.

 Stanton is still wanting everyone to know about Parks, and continues to stick by her word and let the world know about The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

"Phaedra Parks was a snake I allowed to slither into my life," she said, and Parks says it's false. "Once she got close enough to bite me, she did! As she slithered away, she left me to die a slow, and sure death. The heifer never even looked back. She walked away from our treasured turned corrupt friendship with not as much as a blemish to her name."

Parks has said that Stanton's allegations are cited in court records are libelous.
