It was billed as the top moment of David Letterman's week-long salute to the Beatles - and depending on where you stand with the Flaming Lips or how big of a Lenny Kravitz fan you are - it probably will live up to that billing. Wayne Coyne and Co. were joined on stage by Sean Lennon for a cover of "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds."

Wayne wore a cape made of tinsel and shouted down from atop a platform that was slowly being consumed by fiber-optic jellyfish, as one does.

I appreciate the decision to double down on the weirdness for the confetti-summoning hook. Where the original took that moment to back off the strange and give the listener a breather. Longtime Lips fans should know that when you attempt to peek around the trippyness of the aging acid punks, you'll just find turtles all the way down.

Letterman closes out the week with the only performance that could possibly top the above, courtesy of Lauryn Hill.
