Kanye West's Red October Air Yeezy 2's went on sale yesterday without any advance warning from Nike. Still, the long-awaited shoes sold out in a manner of minutes.

It took 11 minutes (including tweet time) for all the red Air Yeezy 2's in the world to be purchased. Now, the eBay scalpers are out in full force, with one pair of shoes reaching a bid of £10 million ($16.4 million). However, that pair of shoes has been relisted due to failure to pay and now sits at £5,000.
If you don't think someone will pay over $8K for a pair of shoes, then you don't know sneakerheads. The Air Yeezy 2's have added value as they are likely the last shoe that will be released via Kanye's partnership with Nike.
Kanye has since signed on with ADIDAS (if you'll remember, this was what Kanye was talking about before he launched into his now-infamous "You ain't got the answers, Sway!" rant).
