Imagine playing a multiplayer video game with four hunters going after some sort of alien creature that can range from big to gigantic. Now imagine that creature is controlled by a fifth player. That is the concept behind Evolve, from the creators of Left 4 Dead. This week we have a brand new trailer for the video game as well as a special interview video from developers Turtle Rock Studios.
Here is the official synopsis of the game thanks to the YouTube account for Evolve:
4 Hunters stalk 1 giant Monster... but the beast lies in wait. Who is hunting who? Welcome to #4v1. Happy hunting.
In a savage world of man vs nature, are you the hunter or the hunted? 2K and Turtle Rock Studios bring you Evolve, the next-generation of multiplayer shooters where four Hunters face-off against a single, player-controlled Monster. Coming Fall/Autumn 2014 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
This game was recently highlitghted in Game Informer, resulting in an enormous growth in anticpation of the video game. The concept behind this co-op multiplayer isn't exactly new, but the fact that the fifth player can be such an impeding creature makes it so much more inticing.
Evolve is expected to hit shelves later this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. For now we should just expect to see some more gameplay trailers leading up to the eventual release date.
