AMC's super-hit The Walking Dead finally returned from its long winter hiatus last Sunday with "After," an episode that focused on the aftermath of the Governor's attack on the prison, which scattered the group of survivors. The episode focused solely on Rick, Carl and Michonne, specifically Carl's and Michonne's respective psyches.
All of this meant that we did not see any of the other survivors, including fan favorite Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus). The motorcycle-riding, crossbow-shooting son of a gun was nowhere to be seen during the hour, but the "Mega Buzz" column at TV Guide reports that will quickly change.
"Don't worry, you'll see him soon, but it might not be the same Daryl we've all come to know and love. 'We're really going to be seeing him struggling with whether he can maintain who he's become or is he going to revert back to who he was before,' executive producer Robert Kirkman tells me. 'Sadly, it looks like Beth is going to be caught in the crossfire.' Eh, they've killed pretty much the whole Greene family already. What's one more?"
Fans will likely remember that Daryl and Beth found each other before they fled the prison, and preview clips for this Sunday's episode show the two together in the woods. It's unlikely Daryl would actually kill Beth, but then again so much insanity has occurred on this show that almost nothing would be surprising at this point.
