Back in December, MStars reported that 2014 would be the year of Top Dawg Entertainment. The label didn't release any albums last year but CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith said this year is going to be a totally different story and Schoolboy Q is up first.
TDE is setting their sights high this time around. Tiffith recently took to Twitter to encourage fans to help the team reach their goal of moving 35,000 presale units for Schoolboy Q's Oxymoron. The label is hoping to double the presales for Kendrick Lamar's good kid, m.A.A.d city.
Oxymoron has already sold around 23,000 copies.
Tiffith sent out this tweet:
"#Oxymoron pre-order lookin good at 23k. Da goal is 35k.That'll dbl #Gkmc pre-order & show da world how much #TDE has grown. We got work 2 do"
Last month, MStars reported that Schoolboy Q had released the track list for his forthcoming album.
The list features 15 tracks with guest appearances by Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, Ab-Soul, Danny Brown, Raekwon, Tyler, The Creator, 2 Chainz, Joy and Sugar Free.
Schoolboy Q has long been hyping the album as some of the "hottest sh-t ever."
Oxymoron is slated to hit stores Feb. 25.
According to Tiffith, TDE will be releasing six albums this year, an album from each member. We wonder who will have next after Schoolboy.
Who, from TDE, would you like to see release an album following Schoolboy Q? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
