Looks like Paula Deen is back in action. The southern cooking star is landing a $75 million lump of cash from a Phoenix-based investment company that could have you seeing Paula everywhere on the backseats of airplanes.
TMZ reports that Jahm Najafi believes in Deen and her brand claiming that it is still marketable, and fans would love it, that is why Najafi's company is putting a down payment on cash.
The plan started in 2012 when Najafi bought SkyMall magazine, a popular magazine that we all have probably seen in out airplane pockets. Now the southern cooker's pots and pans will be sold in the book.
If you don't know or can remember, Deen was released from all of her sponsors after confessing to using the "N word" as she described a person who robbed a bank in the 80s that she worked as a teller at.
Let's just hope this deal is a positive light back in Deen's life, after all her new sponsor does own the Book of the Month Club and Columbia House as well. Cha-ching!
