Christina Aguilera engaged to longtime boyfriend Matt Rutler

Queue the wedding bells and get the rice ready, Christina Aguilera is officially engaged to her longtime boyfriend Matt Rutler.

Aguilera made the announcement yesterday (Feb. 14) via Twitter. She sent out a tweet saying, "He asked and I said......" along with a photo of the couple hand in hand with a large rock on the singer's finger.

The two have been dating since 2010 after meeting on the set of the film "Burlesque." Rutler was working as a production assistant for the film. When they met, Aguilera was going through a divorce with then-husband Jordan Bratman, the father of her son Max, 6.

Valentine's Day has been a big day for Aguilera. Her divorce was finalized on Valentine's Day three years ago and now she's newly engaged on the same day.

A source told People: "They're very much in love and are really excited to take this next step!"

People also reports that Rutler has been a consistent figure in Aguilera's son Max's life.

"He's the love of my life, and I adore him," Aguilera said about Max on The Ellen DeGeneres Show back in 2010  shortly after the divorce news broke. "He's such a character, and he's so happy and at the end of the day, that's what's most important."

We wonder if Aguilera and Rutler are planning on having a baby of their own.
