Ellen Page NOT dating Alexander Skarsgard: 'The East' starlet 'comes out' on Valentine's Day, girlfriend rumors erupt on Twitter

Just a few months ago, rumors suggested that "True Blood" hottie was romancing "The East" co-star, Ellen Page. Such gossip even sparked viral "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie casting buzz.

Alexander Skarsgard stars alongside "Juno" sweetheart Ellen Page in the 2013 thriller, "The East." Rumors have it that the Hollywood duo are actually dating, although both co-stars claim they're just "really good friends." Hmm... would E.L. James approve of this sexy "friendship?" Several "Fifty Shades of Grey" fans agree 36-year-old Skarsgard would make the perfect Christian Grey... how about 26-year-old Page starring as his sweet-and-innocent lover, Anastasia Steele?

Over the weekend (back in June), Skarsgard and Page were spotted in San Francisco promoting "The East" along with the film's director Zal Batmanglij. This intimate Twitpic sent out by Batmanglij soon went viral... prompting such dating buzz:

How adorable! Still, the duo aren't an official couple. But apparenty they have great onscreen chemistry... do Skarsgard and Page have what it takes to get down-and-dirty in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of "Fifty Shades?"

Well, THAT will never happen - the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele ultimately went to Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson. And more importantly, Page recently came out as a lesbian during an emotional speech during at an LGBT conference held in Las Vegas on Valentine's Day (Friday, February 14). So it's likely she's not romantically interested in Skarsgard.
