Orange is the New Black Returns for Season 2 June 6

Orange is the New Black's teaser trailer has been released on YouTube.  The Netflix series is slated to return on June 6.  

The Netflix series is set in a women's prison and follows the main character, Piper Chapman, after she is convicted for her involvement in an international drug smuggling ring after being named in court by her ex-girlfriend.  Chapman had left her life of crime and settled in Brooklyn with her fiancee, Jason Biggs.  She and her friend had started a business together making homemade soaps that were scheduled to be sold in Barneys.  Chapman's life is turned upside-down after being sentenced to 15 months in prison for her crimes.

Taylor Schilling, who plays the main character Piper in the series, had said about the series in an interview with the AP, "It's a thought-provoking, powerful,  and really fully, really really sharply funny... dramady." 

Representatives of Netflix dispelled rumors that Laura Pepron of That 70's Show fame will be exiting the series.  According to E News, A representative of the network said "It's not very accurate... Our season is still developing and nothing is confirmed."

In an interview with the Associated Press, Pepron says, "When I first read it, I'm, you know, it's so good.. but Alex scares me a little bit... which is exactly why I needed to do it and I'm so glad that I did."

The Nexflix series has been Golden Globe, Grammy, and Image award nominated.  The show has won an AFI award for TV Program of the Year and a People's Choice award for Favorite Streaming Series.
