Drake reveals 'Carter V' release date at New Orleans show

Turns out Drake wasn't just tweaking out on his keyboard. There really is a Carter V coming from Lil' Wayne and it's dropping relatively soon.

According to Billboard, the new album from Weezy F. Baby will drop in May.

The new album was revealed during a pre-NBA All-Star Weekend show in New Orleans. Headliner Drake brought Wayne up on the House Of Blues stage Friday night and let the crowd know that Carter V hits shelves May 5.

"If you wanna hear Lil' Wayne at his best, if you wanna hear Young Money at they best- Carter V, May 5th," Drake told the crowd.

Weezy's last Carter album dropped all the way back in 2011, and the rapper has released several mixtapes and albums since then, though they didn't recieve anywhere near the same critical marks.
