It's been more than a month, but some fans are still up in arms that Warner Bros., DC and director Zack Snyder cast Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman for the yet-to-be titled Man of Steel sequel, which has been called Batman vs. Superman. Many felt the actress was not the right body type to play the part, but a new photo should hopefully alleviate some of the frenzy.
A site called Stark Industries posted a photo, which you can see at the top of the page, of the Israeli actress in which she flexes for the camera and makes a solid muscle on her right arm. It's clear that she is getting into excellent shape for the role, though some fans will likely never be satisfied with her in the movie because she doesn't "look like Wonder Woman," which is an unfair standard to begin with considering that Wonder Woman is a fictional character drawn to unrealistic proportions by professional artists.
Warner Bros. and DC have brought in an expert trainer, Mark Twight, to prepare her for the part. Plus, she spent two years in the Israeli army, so any concerns about her physical condition should be easily erased.
Gadot recently gave an interview entirely in Hebrew on Good Evening with Gai Pines and revealed that she would be undertaking an extremely serious training regimen of Kung Fu, kickboxing, jujitsu, Brazilian and sword fighting. She also expressed confidence that she would "gain body mass."
What do you think about Gadot's training progress for the film? Let us know in the comments below.
