True Blood will air its seventh and final season on HBO when the show returns during the summer for its final 10 episodes. Plot details have been scarce so far, but it seems like the show could move in a more optimistic direction for one of its characters.
The "Ask Ausiello" column at TVLine reports that Arlene could have a new man in her life in the wake of her husband's death:
"Question: Is it too early for True Blood scoop? I could use some hot Bon Temps news in my snow-filled life! -Jenna
Is there life after love for poor widow Arlene? My guess is mmmhmmm after reading a new Season 7 breakdown for the recurring role of Keith, a romantic vampire who moonlights (get it?) as a drummer in James' (Nathan Parsons) band and who takes an instant liking to a certain grieving waitress. Now I have a Q for you, Jenna - did we know that NuJames had a band?!?!"
The column refers to him as "NuJames" because the Bunheads actor stepped into the role for the final season. The actor also spent four years on General Hospital as Luke's lovechild, Ethan Lovett. According to TVLine's inside source on the show, the character of James will be part of a surprising love triangle in Season 7.
Luke Grimes abruptly left the HBO hit just prior to production on its final season, reportedly over creative differences on the direction of his character.
What do you think, True Blood fans? Will Arlene move on with Keith, and will it be a fling or something more? Let us know in the comments below.
