Towanda Braxton, Porsha Stewart Beef: Kordell Stewart's divorce with RHOA star was 'disheartening' because of gay rumors

Towanda Braxton star is speaking up about her "friend" Kordell Stewart in a recent interview with Bossip.com. The former NFL football star and "Real Housewives of Atlanta" husband has been linked to The Braxton Family Values star and was rumored to have started dating her after his divorce with Porsha Stewart was finalized.

"I met Kordell at an event and I thought he was a nice guy. We're just friends. Let me just make it clear. We're definitely friends. Once I met him there, you know when it's like the beginning stages and you're trying to get to know a person, it wasn't a love connection and I think it was partially because of my situation. [Being separated and not divorced.] A lot of guys are like that and that's where he is."

Towanda admitted that she didn't like Kordell's name being dragged through the mud of the Bravo show, "I don't like to say anything negative about anybody else like that. I just think, I wasn't in their marriage, I can only go by what my friend and I have discussed, it's a little disheartening that it ended so bitter. Just like my situation. When my divorce is final I'm not going to go out there and say "I thought that he was..." because I didn't think that when we were together. Why say that when we're apart? I would never ever ever do that. He's a really really nice guy and I think people need to see the other side of Kordell."

In the premiere of "The Real Hosuewives of Atlanta" Porsha Stewart opened up about her divorce drama with her estranged husband, Kordell Sewart and dropped a major bomb insinuating that he may be gay.

The tearful reality star broke down to her mother and sister after a divorce deposition, which became the result after Kordell filed for divorce from Porsha. The freshman reality star was consoled by her mother who told her she saw early signs of a disconnect when Porsha suffered a miscarriage and stayed in a hospital for a week recovering, "After the miscarriage he came in there one time. The nurses was asking 'is she married?'" Porsha's mother said, "This man does not appreciate a wife. He wants a wife as an object."

Porsha always stood by her husband and his NFL scandals. The former NFL star was rumored of having a same-sex relationship while playing for the Pittsburgh Steeler. While talking to her mother Porsha admitted that she knew about the accusations, however ignored it after speaking to him about the scandals.

"There were times in the marriage where Kordell didn't want me physically," Porsha said.

Porsha admitted that she still wanted to make the marriage work and made a list, which included individual and couples counseling session to "deal with his demons and things from his past," but Kordell was reluctant to agree.

"We can possibly save this marriage and he said no" She said.
