Looks like Phaedra Parks isn't the only Real Housewives of Atlanta star accused of being involved with the shady business deals that has landed her husband back in hot water with the law. MStars has learned that Saving Our Daughters charity tax-exempt was revoked by the IRS for withholding details on their finances.
The charity was shown on last Sunday's episode, where Kenya Moore embarrassed NeNe Leakes, by inviting her to the stage unannounced to talk about Saving Our Daughters.
Tax documents reveal that, Saving Our Daughters charity has not filed a tax return since 2009. According to RadarOnline, the date May 15, 2013 in the official government database, shows that their status as a tax-exempt organization was automatically revoked by the IRS.
The charity did file tax returns and, in 2009 the charity used only $10,000 of the $108, 233 revenue towards grants. Curtis Benjamin, head of the charity used part of the money as his salary. In 2008 they charity only donated $10,500 out of the $84,874 that was in the bank.
The Founder and CEO of Saving Our Daughters, released a statement that said, the charity never received any funds from Moore's Masquerade Ball, that fans of the show seen last Sunday on the Bravo TV network.
"Ms. Kenya Moore stated that thousands of dollars were raised at this event. To protect the integrity of Saving Our Daughters, our records show that we did not receive any of the proceeds raised from Ms. Moore's masquerade ball," the statement revealed. "However, we do appreciate the contribution we did receive of $500 for our annual Christmas doll drive for children with cancer."
Moore replied, revealing photos of checks and text messages that prove she did make a donation to the charity.
"I have video proof more check copies and a contract too so [please] do not come for me unless I send for you," Kenya tweeted shortly after the charity accused her of not making any donation. "#dropsmicrophone #grabsbible2pray4u."
NeNe Leakes, and Kelly Rowland are two supporters and contributors to Saving Our Daughters, MStars wonders what they have to say about this situation.
