Former hairstylist to the American Idol Judge Nicki Minaj has filed a lawsuit against the singer. The suit claims Minaj stole wig designs for her own wig line and backed out of a reality television deal. The lawsuit has filed for $30 million in damages if the case proceeds to trial.

According to CNN, "Terrence Davidson filed suit Friday in district court in Atlanta alleging that the star not only stole his wig designs, but also cost him a potential reality show deal that he was discouraged from pursuing."

According to Time, Christopher Chestnut said, "Her lawyers may complicate it, but we don't need to get into intellectual-property law. This is basic American morality. Nicki Minaj lied to this man and cheated him."

"On its face you might think, what this guy is suing over wigs," Davidson's attorney Chestnut said to CNN. "But we really have to consider this in context. Hair is a multibillion-dollar industry, but moreover these are not your grandma's wigs. These are eclectic. They are decadent, and they are creative. This is about a brand that Terrence has built."

This is not the first time the Super Bass singer has been sued. According to Bossip.com, Clive Tanaka filed suit in September 2013. Tanaka said Minaj and her collaborators stole the "eletctro-pop hook" for the Starships single.

Minaj was also under lawsuit threat in 2010 by a car rental company for damaging a Lamborghini Murcielago, according to TMZ.   The suit claimed the singer caused almost $12,000.00 in damages to the vehicle.
