The 2014 BET Honors was held in Washington, DC at the Warner Theater. The BET Honors celebrates the lives and achievements of African-American's in a many different industries, such as music, acting, entrepreneurship and more.
MStars reporter, Star Connor was live on the red carpet with the Rev. Al Sharpton. Sharpton is a presenter at the BET Honors. He will be presenting the award to the legendary singer, Aretha Franklin.
He said, "It feels great to be presenting to the queen. I've been an Aretha Franklin fan all my life, and to be given an opportunity to present to her is an honor in its self."
"In civil rights, many of days her music got me through. Her "Amazing Grace," album as well as her "Love Song." I'm just so happy to be here tonight, for the queen because she's always been there for us."
BET Honors airs Monday Feb. 24 at 9PM/8C.
