Lady Gaga unveiled her new song "Princess Die" during her Melbourne concert on Tuesday Night. She said the ballad song may or may not be on her next studio album.
"So this song is a little bit sad and it's in no way reflective of the rest of the music on the album, but it's about some of the most personal thoughts I've ever had. It's called 'Princess Die', D-I-E."
Controversies arose after debuting her new song, which was posted on Youtube soon after, that the lyrics incited suicide.
I wish that I was strong/ I wish that I was wrong/ I wish that I could cope, but I took pills and left a note
Chris Wagner, the communication director of Lifeline expressed his concern that young people often live and breathe by the lyrics to the songs of their favorite stars.
I'll do it in the swimming pool so everybody sees
Some parts of the lyrics also talk about Princess Diana's death in Paris although Gaga stressed that the song has nothing to do with Princess Diana.
And wish that I would go/ In my rich boyfriend's limo, oh oh
Right after he proposed/ With a 16-carat stone wrapped in rose gold
With the paparazzi all swarming 'round/ In my Louis Vuitton white button-down
