Olympiakos Stun Manchester United

Manchester United's Champion's League encounter with Olympiacos was supposed to be the start of making amends to their fans, but they were in for an almighty shock in Greece as they were dominated throughout and fell to a disappointing 2-0 loss. 

Many of the United players were so poor that many were saying they're not fit to wear the Red jerseys, let alone appear in such a highly regarded competition. David Moyes has seemingly tried everything, but yet more misery amounts for his side. Usually a side can fix their problems with a major signing or two, but this United team appear to need six or seven world class players to save their struggling franchise. 

United never looked like scoring, although attacking players Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie, Shinji Kagawa and Danny Welbeck all featured. Moyes was known for his defensive first approach, but that's not getting him anywhere with this current batch of players. The debates that will follow will all see the finger pointed at Moyes and his tactics, and rightfully show as United were facing the weakest team remaining and are now facing an uphill battle to qualify for the quarter finals. 

United will now finish the season trophy-less as the Champions League was the last, albeit unlikely, option for them to carry on their winning mentality. It's been a season to forget about for United. Will they give Moyes finances to rebuild and the time he needs to prove himself, or will they look to replace him this summer?
