Scandal returns Thursday night after an 11-week hiatus, so the long and frustrating wait for fans of the ABC hit is almost at an end. Until then, fans must subsist on spoilers and previews for the show, and this latest one deals with fan favorite Huck (Guillermo Diaz).
Huck's former B613 commander, Rowan (Joe Morton), who also happens to be Olivia Pope's (Kerry Washington) father, is no longer in charge of the spy organization. Jake (Scott Foley) has since taken the reins. But what does that mean for Huck? The "Mega Buzz" column at TV Guide offers an answer from Diaz himself.
"I'm so excited that Scandal is returning this week. What can you tease?
Even though Jake is now in command at B613, Huck will still worry about Rowan lurking in the shadows. "The fear is still there," Guillermo Diaz tells me. "Rowan isn't in command anymore, but he's still a powerful force and Huck knows that." Oh, Huck has no idea."
Clearly, Rowan was not just going to fade into obscurity and take a pencil-pushing job without a fight. It remains to be seen if and how Huck would get sucked into this B613 world again as the battle rages.
In other Scandal news, TVLine posted a video preview in which David Rosen (Joshua Malina) tries to get James (Dan Bucatinsky) to offer up some information about the murder of Daniel Douglas. The NSA has intercepted Sally' Langston's phone call to Cyrus (Jeff Perry) in the aftermath of the murder and the clean up, and David has acquired this information. The mysterious recording could take down Sally and her associates, which in this case is Cyrus.
