The Boy Meets World sequel series Girl Meets World has seemingly landed a major guest star, as Glee star Jane Lynch has tweeted that the will appear on the Disney Channel series, which is expected to debut later this year.
A fan asked the actress on Twitter if "there is any truth to the rumors that you have a guest role on Girl Meets World," to which Lynch replied, "Yes there is truth..." She did not specify what role she would play.
The actress has plenty of experience working in schools on television, as she has starred as Sue Sylvester on Glee for more than four seasons. She's served as a foil to the glee club on that show and also acted as cheerleading coach, so perhaps Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga's (Danielle Fishel) daughter, Riley (Rowan Blanchard), should choose her extracurricular activities carefully depending on Lynch's character.
In other GMW news, The "Spoiler Chat" column at E! Online reports that Riley will contend with some Minkus-esque characters in her class.
"I'm counting down the days until Girl Meets World finally premieres! Got anything to hold me over?
One of our all-time Boy Meets World characters would definitely have to be Minkus, the obnoxiously smart, goody-two-shoes who always craved to be the best in every class. (And if we're being totally honest, despite his arrogance, Minkus was actually very sweet and kind.) Now it looks like Cory's daughter, Riley, will have to deal with a few Minkuses of her very own in class. These kids will be short, geeky, and up to no good at one of the coolest parties of the year."
