Several months ago, reports surfaced that WWE planned to culminate the Authority storyline at WrestleMania 30. But now, it seems that those plans have been changed significantly.

The Wrestling Observer reports that the original plan, in which Vince McMahon would return to WWE television and start a power struggle with his son-in-law Triple H and daughter Stephanie McMahon for control of the company, has been scrapped.

For months, rumors swirled that Vince's return to WWE television to confront the Authority would culminate with a match at WrestleMania 30 in which a combatant of McMahon's choosing would face Triple H for control of the WWE. The seeds had been planted somewhat in the past few months, as the company referred to Stephanie McMahon as "one of the principal owners of the WWE" throughout the television broadcasts. But since then, there has been little to no sign that Vince is coming back any time soon, and such references to Stephanie have ceased.

The storyline could pick up again at some point, but it seems more or less dead for now.

In other WrestleMania 30 news, The Wrestling Observer also reports WWE has discussed the idea of having a multi-Diva match for the Divas Championship and a multi-team match for the Tag Team Championships. This would allow numerous wrestlers to get a spot on the card, which is already top-heavy with matches such as Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker, Randy Orton vs. Batista for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and, presumably, Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H and John Cena vs, Bray Wyatt.
