Ever since the official announcement of the Breaking Bad spinoff series Better Call Saul, fans have wondered how closely the new show would resemble the critically acclaimed and beloved original. In that same vein, fans have been speculating which characters from the original series would return to Vince Gilligan's world in Better Call Saul, which depicts Bob Odenkirk's character of Saul Goodman in the days before he linked up with Walter White (Bryan Cranston).

Aaron Paul, who famously played Jesse Pinkman on Breaking Bad, revealed in an interview published by the AP that he has had "serious talks" with Gilligan about revisiting the character in Better Call Saul.

"Anything Vince is involved with, I'm there," Paul said in an interview to promote his upcoming movie Need For Speed. "I owe him my entire career. And the idea of jumping into the skin of Jesse Pinkman again in his lighter days - because it's all a prequel - it would be fun."

Fans will recall that before Jesse teamed with Walt, he was just a small time meth dealer who used the name "Captain Cook."

Dean Norris, who played Walt's brother-in-law and DEA agent Hank Schrader, will not be returning to the Breaking Bad world. He currently stars on CBS' summer series Under the Dome.

"I don't they'll let me do a little cable show," he said while promoting his movie Small Time. "I think that experience was that experience. I'm not a big fan of kind of revisiting something that has already been done. But I think it's going to be awesome. So I can't wait to see it."

What do you think? Is it a good idea for the series and/or for Paul to return to the Jesse Pinkman character, or should they each try to create new identities? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
