Eminem and Rihanna will hit at least three major US cities on "The Monster" tour this summer. And based on statistics, this should please both males and female fans!
The Echo Nest ( a music intelligence platform company that provides services to iHeartRadio, Rdio, Rhapsody, SiriusXM, etc) recently indulged in a mini listeners experiment based on gender. Using data gathered from 200,000 random new listeners, The Echo Nest came up with this Top 40 list:
RiRi tops the list for females, while Eminem reigns supreme for the male side.
Company representative Paul Lamere told TIME that this table visually resembles "uncooked spaghetti thrown on a table."

Pretty interesting stuff, right?
"It kind of gets to be the McDonald's of all music: It's the lowest common denominator," Lamere explains. "And that's not what we want to do, but when you have nothing else, if you had to feed a bunch of people you didn't know anything about, you'd probably start with a hamburger. Or pizza."
