The people of Arcadia, Missouri are forced to face the unimaginable: their loved ones who died years ago are returned to them, without having aged a year. With the tagline, "Imagine the Impossible," the characters of this primetime drama try to put together their lives with the return of those they believed to have died. Resurrection premieres March 9 at 8 p.m. EST.

The show pushes audiences to analyze the question, "What if someone you lost returned?"

"It kind of plays like a family drama," said star Omar Epps on Jimmy Kimmel Live, "That's what drew me to the project."

"We're exploring that big 'What If' in a really organic way," Epps said in his Kimmel interview. "We're exploring this phenomena. What would you do, what would ordinary people do under extraordinary circumstance."

Resurrection star Epps has had notable roles in the television series ER and House M.D.

The new ABC series is reminiscent of the originally-run USA television series The 4400. Similar to Resurrection, the returned characters in The 4400 have no memory of what happened to them and have not aged a day since their disappearance. However, the character in The 4400 have mysterious powers that they progressively learn about throughout the series. The 4400 ran for four seasons.

There is no word yet on how Resurrection's characters will progress throughout the series and there is speculation that the show will be a flop because of its 8 p.m. time-slot.
