The late actor James Gandolfini spoke in a promotional video for Ben Foss' book, The Dyslexia Empowerment Plan: A Blueprint for Renewing Your Child's Confidence and Love of Learning.  Foss' book applies a three-step approach for successful learning with children of dyslexia: Identification of the child's learning profile, helping the child help themselves through coaching, and the creation of a community that promotes acceptance and educational assistance.

About the delay in the video's circulation, Ben Foss said, "We've held off releasing the trailer in 2013; but James' family now wants to honor his wishes and get the message out. They fully support releasing this video."

In the video, Gandolfini said, "As someone with a few issues that made school tough, I can tell you that without the proper support and encouragement kids can easily go down the wrong path. I know I did." Foss jokingly responded, "He became an actor."

Gandolfini went on to saying, "I've known Ben for years and I can assure you on this topic he knows what he's talking about. This is a great book. It's a complicated subject and parents need a way to help them understand dyslexia and figure out how to help their child, to not be confused and frustrated themselves because that doesn't help their kid."

Maria Luisa Gorno Tempini, a professor of neurology at the University of California: San Fransisco, wrote, "I study dyslexia in the lab and am a parent of a wonderful daughter who fits this profile. Ben Foss's book should be considered essential to any collection on the subject. It was extremely useful, especially for a mom."

Publisher's Weekly described the book as, "A passionate and well-articulated guide that puts to rest the idea that dyslexic people are unintelligent . . . This extremely practical and motivational book will be welcomed by parents of dyslexic children."

Amazon reviewer Benjamin N. Powers wrote, "It is the book I wish I had copies to give to every parent who walks through my door, who has recently learned that their child is dyslexic or that their school is failing them."

Another Amazon reviewer, Susan M. Barton, wrote, "This book is going to revolutionize how we talk about, and deal with, dyslexia."
