Never-before-seen footage: Late James Gandolfini talks Dyslexia and Education (VIDEO)

The late actor James Gandolfini spoke in a promotional video for Ben Foss' book, The Dyslexia Empowerment Plan: A Blueprint for Renewing Your Child's Confidence and Love of Learning.  Foss' book applies a three-step approach for successful learning with children of dyslexia: Identification of the child's learning profile, helping the child help themselves through coaching, and the creation of a community that promotes acceptance and educational assistance.

About the delay in the video's circulation, Ben Foss said, "We've held off releasing the trailer in 2013; but James' family now wants to honor his wishes and get the message out. They fully support releasing this video."

In the video, Gandolfini said, "As someone with a few issues that made school tough, I can tell you that without the proper support and encouragement kids can easily go down the wrong path. I know I did." Foss jokingly responded, "He became an actor."

Gandolfini went on to saying, "I've known Ben for years and I can assure you on this topic he knows what he's talking about. This is a great book. It's a complicated subject and parents need a way to help them understand dyslexia and figure out how to help their child, to not be confused and frustrated themselves because that doesn't help their kid."
