Arsenal have stuttered recently, but luckily the team's form has improved since they welcomed and lost to Bayern Munich three weeks ago. The reigning UEFA Champions League holders came to the Emirates Stadium and pulled off a 2-0 win, leaving Arsenal with an enormous task. Munich is tough anywhere, but at home the team is almost unbeatable. Arsenal now has to win by three goals or score at least two to take it to extra time. Can Arsenal pull of this miracle or will Munich be on the road to yet more glory?
Arsenal will be without left-back Kieran Gibbs and Yaya Sanogo for their last-16 second leg game, but they may welcome back Laurent Koscielny. To make matters worse, number one goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who was sent off in the 2-0 defeat, will be suspended, meaning Lukasz Fabianksi will stand in for him. Arsenal will find out the hard way that they're lacking squad depth, a point that many made before these problems occurred.
With all of the problem Arsenal are facing they'd hope Munich had their own too, but they're fully fit and ready to go, with star winger Franck Ribery also back from injury and in contention. With world class options all over the squad you'd bet the Bayern Munich get their tactics right and prove too much for the Premier League side, although they'll fight to the death.
The winner of this will fear nobody in the quarter finals, and they'll believe they can lift the trophy. Can Arsenal pull off the shock of the tournament, or will Munich march on?
