'Fantastic 4' reboot casting news: Dr. Doom short list narrowed down to 4 actors [VIDEO]

We know that Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, and Jamie Bell will star in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot as the cast of superheroes, but whom will they go up against? A new report from The Wrap has four hopeful actors on a short list for the Marvel Comics team's biggest foe, Dr. Doom. The four possible stars include Sam Riley (Control), Eddie Redmayne (Les Miserables), Toby Kebbell (Rocknrolla), Domhnall Gleeson (About Time).

This news comes from The Wrap, which was also the website that broke the casting news for the Fantastic Four reboot, directed by Josh Trank. We should treat this news as a rumor, but the website is known for being correct so it's safe to say that we could be seeing one of these actors behind a scary metal mask.

Now that 20th Century Fox and director Josh Trank have their Fantastic Four in place, they've turned their attention to the movie's villain - Dr. Doom. Four rising stars remain on the short-list, all of whom have accents and are 30-34 years old. A fifth contender, Jack Huston, was rumored to be up for Dr. Doom several weeks ago, though it's unclear whether he remains in the mix.
