First look at Barney and Robin's wedding on 'How I Met Your Mother' Season 9

After what feels like an eternity, Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) and Robin (Cobie Smulders) are finally about to tie the knot on How I Met Your Mother. The momentous occasion will occur in the penultimate episode of Season 9 (and the series) entitled "The End of the Aisle" on Monday, March 24. But of course, the ceremony won't go smoothly.

E! Online posted some first-look photos at the episode, in which Barney and Robin both experience major panic attacks before they make their way to the church. But according to the photos, it seems like the two will in fact seal the deal. The pictures include Patrice (Ellen Williams) in tears, Robin's father (Ray Wise) walking her down the aisle, James' father Sam officiating the ceremony and Marshall and Lily high fiving as Barney sits on the couch.

I can't do that, but I can let series director Pam Fryman tell you that none of the theories floating around online about the ending or The Mother's fate have hit the nail on the head. 'People are so sure and they have such an opinion about what they think is going to happen, but nobody is 100 percent right,' she says. 'I think people will be happy with the way this plays out. It's a great ending.' Surely no one would be happy with The Mother dying, right?"
