One of the stars of the beloved 90s TV series Boy Meets World is returning to the sequel series, Girl Meets World, which is scheduled to premiere on the Disney Channel this summer. We already know Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) are mainstays on the new show, and a teenage version of Cory's younger brother Joshua will appear. But now, an original cast member is returning.

E! Online first reported exclusively that Lee Norris would return to the show as Minkus, the fan-favorite nerd from Cory's sixth-grade class in the first season of the show. The site even posted a first-look photo at Minkus' return, which you can view at the top of the page.

"I've had a great time being back on set with some of my old friends," Norris told E! Online. "It still amazes me how many people love and remember Minkus, and I'm excited for the fans to catch up with him after all these years."

Norris made a brief return in Season 5 of Boy Meets World at the gang's high school graduation. When Cory, Shawn and Topanga asked where he had been, he replied that he had spent the last four years in the "other" part of the school.

To put a cherry on top of this news, William Daniels will return as Mr. Feeny for the first episode of the series. If that doesn't make Boy Meets World fans want to tune into the new series, then nothing will.

Are you thrilled to see Minkus come back? What do you think his role will be? Let us know in the comments below.
