Charli XCX may have handed off one of the biggest hits of the last several years to Icona Pop, but she's not taking such a breezy attitude toward her True Romance follow-up. That's evident by taking one look at the talent she's onboarding for her latest. In an interview with Complex, Charli revealed that she is working with Weezer's Rivers Cuomo and Vampire Weekend's production guru/band member Rostam Batmanglij.
Via Complex:
Although the British singer wouldn't spill the beans on what she's thinking about titling the album (guess we're not as cool we thought, but to be fair we just met) she did reveal some major collaborations. According to Charli she worked with Weezer's Rivers Cuomo as well as Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij on her new album.
The Brit songstress has yet to set a release date, but has revealed the album will include hints of punk and ye-ye.
Charli has already released the snarling high-energy punk pop track "Allergic To Love" and recently starred opposite Iggy Azalea in "Fancy."
