The Walking Dead has taken a different approach to this second half of Season 4 by splitting up the group into smaller pairings or trios and forcing them all to come back together. The result has yielded some episodes filled with character exploration but light on action. But that could change with this Sunday's episode, "The Grove."

Series creator Robert Kirkman sat down with EW.com and did not mince words about what to expect from this newest installment:

"I would say this is a big one. It's definitely one that people are going to remember and it's definitely one people are going to talk about. If there is one episode of The Walking Dead that you absolutely had to watch this season, it would be this one. You kind of have to watch all of them, but it's going to be a big episode. We're going to catch a lot of people off guard."

Kirkman, of course, does not say what will happen or why the episode is so crucial, but he certainly emphasized that fans should be ready for a ride. Much of the second half of the season has seemingly built toward Terminus, the mysterious sanctuary that each of the survivors seems to be heading toward along the train tracks.

EW asked Kirkman if we would get to Terminus before the end of the season, and the boss seemed to see yes without actually saying yes:

"I can't say that! But I would say it would be ridiculous if we didn't. I mean they are all on those tracks. And where are they going if they don't get to Terminus at some point? Maybe they get to Terminus before the end of the season. You never know."
