A sequel for Jumping The Broom is finally pushing forward with production.
MStars has learned that some big names will be included in the project behind the scenes. According to s2smagazine, TD Jakes Productions will be coming together with Tracey Edmonds for the project, that was said to be in the works last year.
Meagan Good's husband, DeVon Franklin has been named to oversee the production for Sony Pictures. It is unknown whether Salim Akil will return to direct, and Elizabeth Hunter, who wrote Jumping The Broom, has agreed to work in the sequel. The plot in the first film centered around the couple from two very different backgrounds bringing their unique families to New York City to witness the couples "I Do's."
No cast members have been confirmed, although fans of the film will probably want to see Paula Patton and Laz Alonso return. The plot this time around will appear to focus on a whole new different pair of soon-to-be family members.
