The Truth Is Out There With X-Files Board Game

The truth is still out there with The X-Files board game. IDW Games offers gamers a chance to play as their favorite FBI agents, Fox "Spooky" Mulder and Dana Scully. As the paranormal investigators, you will uncover top-secret alien conspiracies and team-up against The Cigarette Smoking Man.

Created by Chris Carter (Amazon's The After), the popular TV series followed Mulder, the believer, and Scully, the skeptic, as they investigated weird cases involving aliens, monsters, and supernatural killers. At times, the two agents crossed paths with Smoking Man, a powerful man who hid the existence of aliens. Though their beliefs clashed, Mulder and Scully worked together against Smoking Man and his shadow government group known as The Syndicate.

In an official statement made to the press, IDW Director of New Business Jerry Bennington states, "To me, there's no more exciting title than The X-Files. Who wouldn't want the chance to play as the wise cracking Fox Mulder or the incredibly intelligent Dana Scully? And what show created more classic villains than The X-Files? I still remember the first time I laid eyes on Flukeman. Now we'll give fans the chance to lose sleep all over again!"

Focusing on the first three seasons of The X-Files, players get a chance to relive the TV phenomena at its prime. Kevin Wilson, the designer of the Arkham Horror game, will bring the critically acclaimed series to the strategy board game community. Known for his artwork in The X-Files: Season 10 comic book series, artist Menton3 will provide art direction as well as the stunning box art.

Bring in your fellow TV fanatics, up to five players, as you face off against them or a friend. Will Mulder and Scully be able to prevent the alien apocalypse one more time? Or will the Smoking Man triumph in the end?
