Russell Simmons is looking to put meditation in front just like he did for hip hop. Simmons wants to make his daily routine of meditation mainstream. The business mogul and industry icon will chat with Larry King about the power of a quiet mind, Justin Bieber, and of persistence in this wise and wide-ranging interview tonight on Larry King Live.
Russell Simmons will discuss segregation in Hollywood: "It's still a sad reality of Hollywood. Can you name a black agent?"
Simmons says his personal philosophy on wealth is, "I'm not as rich as they say. I could put my whole house in my ex-wife's Jacuzzi. I don't really need anything."
Also including in the number of topics is Simmons view on the NFL's proposed ban on the n-word: "My father was a professor of black history, but if they ever told him he couldn't use that word, he'd have turned over and said 'ni**a, please.'" Simmons told King. "Language is less important to me than intention."
He also will give marital advice to fans, and talks about his relationship with ex-wife and mother of his children, Kimora Lee: "She's an excellent mother. Everybody should make friends with their ex-wife. It's selfish not to...grow some tolerance, some balls, whatever it takes."
