The series finale of How I Met Your Mother is less than two weeks away (Monday, March 31, to be specific) and fans are eagerly anticipating the conclusion to Ted's epic love story. With so many threads to sew up, expectations are high for the final hour.
But series director Pam Fryman told the "Mega Buzz" column at TV Guide that fans should not worry about lingering issues after the credits roll for the last time.
"Fans shouldn't worry about a Sopranos-esque cut-to-black or otherwise ambiguous ending. Series director Pam Fryman tells us that the one-hour closer will wrap everything up in a nice, definitive bow, whether The Mother is dead or not. 'You'll see what happens to everyone,' she says. 'We really tried to tie up every loose ending we could think of, answer every question we've asked and haven't answered. It's just very satisfying.' Who's in the last scene? Fryman's lips are sealed, obviously, but she teases that 'the last minute or so will really sit with you.'"
Another interesting note is that the "Mega Buzz" column posted a blind item within its spoilers this week and teased that "a leading lady on a beloved, long-running network show will discover that she's pregnant in the season finale" and that the show in question appears elsewhere in the column.
The other shows mentioned this week are Orphan Black, Psych, The Good Wife, SVU, The Vampire Diaries, Arrow, Chicago Fire, Mistresses, Royal Pains, Switched at Birth, Nashville and Parks and Recreation.
Given that list of shows, could Robin somehow be pregnant? We know Future Ted says she never had any kids, but consider that star Alyson Hannigan said the following to TVLine:
"Which character's endgame surprised her the most? 'Robin's,' she responds. 'Although I guess that's not really a surprise, because it's sort of been addressed in the past. You'll see.'"
