Jessica Sanchez Scores Major Record Deal On Phillip Phillips' Label

American Idol runner up Jessica Sanchez will join Idol winner Phillip Phillips on Interscope Records.  Fans can expect to hear new music drop in October with an urban sound that is more representative of her style and voice.  

Sanchez has been updating followers on Twitter about the progress of writing in the studio.  

"At the stuuuuudio recording some amazing tracks for the upcoming album ;) <3", tweeted the enthusiastic singer.

Sanchez recently told MTV that she will not sing songs based on what other people think she will sound good in.  "I want to be able to say, 'This is me,'" she said.

The talented 16-year old previously gushed about her love for Eminem, and hopes to be able to collaborate with him among other A-list artists.
