Mark Your Calendars And Make A Spot For ‘Fantastic Four’ and ‘Wolverine’ Sequels!

20^th Century Fox has just announced the premiere dates for its two most popular comic book franchises. As the Marvel properties continue to make a big splash at the box-office, let's hope the Fantastic Four reboot and the Wolverine sequel keep its steady stream of success.

THR has reported that The Fantastic Four 2 will open on July 14, 2017. This announcement comes out just after its main cast has been put together. Michael B. Jordan (Chronicle), Kate Mara (House of Cards), Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot), and Miles Teller (Project X) will take on the superhero/family team.

The untitled Wolverine film has picked March 3, 2017 for its premiere. After the success of The Wolverine, James Mangold will be returning to the director's chair. Depending on how well X-Men: Days of Future Past does, we'll see if actor Hugh Jackman returns to the starring role that made him a household name.

Fox has also stamped July 13, 2018 for its tightly-lipped Marvel film. Could this mysterious new Marvel film be the long-rumored X-Men vs. Fantastic Four project? Could Fox bring together these two franchises to make one epic movie? The rumor mill will have to continue until an official statement is made.

In the comics, the Fantastic Four and X-Men have worked together and fought against each other on different occasions. While the Fantastic Four has been adored by the public, the X-Men has been mostly seen as a vigilante group. Despite butting heads, both superhero teams have been able to put aside their differences and fight beside each together against their villains, such as Onslaught and Doctor Doom.

Movie-goers will have to wait until 2017 before the Fantastic Four reboot and Wolverine sequel are released. Until then, we still have The Amazing Spider-Man 2, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and Guardians of the Galaxy to look forward to this summer.
